Bjorn Ironside was a legendary Viking chieftain who, according to saga literature, is considered the forefather of the Swedish Munsö dynasty. He is said to have been King of the Swedes during the 9th century.Bjorn is regarded as the founder of the Munsö dynasty, the first line of kings said to have ruled Sweden. The dynasty is named after the island of Munsö in Lake Mälaren, where the family is believed to have had its seat.
